Large Bust 80 cm (LB1/WS1)

This imposing piece is handbuilt using essentially two different coloured clay bodies – buff and terracotta – with porcelain additions to the surface in the shape of a hand. The interaction of face and hands is a powerful means of human expression. The bust, with quiet dignity, appears to rise out of the large-scale rock formations and weather-worn surfaces of the coastal landscape.
